Family owned, values led, William Jackson Food Group has selected Authenticate as the supplier engagement partner of choice following a competitive tender process.

Formed of four subsidiary businesses including Abel & Cole, Belazu, Jacksons Bakery and Wellocks, William Jackson Food Group were keen to find a suitable traceability solution to fit all food safety, ethical and environmental requirements, whilst supporting their mission of creating some of the greatest food in ways that make life better for people, the planet and communities.

Supply chain visibility top priority after onboarding

Committing to tracing 100% of ingredients and products over which William Jackson Food Group have direct control, back to origin in their 2021 Sustainability Pledge,  the main driver for adopting the Authenticate platform is to achieve live supply chain visibility.

With over 8,000 products, 5,000 raw materials and 1,200 suppliers crossing all brands, the first priority after onboarding will be to begin mapping the suppliers and their corresponding products through the tiers.

Following the mapping stage and after migrating all technical risk assessments and supplier approval documentation into the Authenticate platform, other modules (including audits, specifications, KPIs and dashboards) will enable the digitisation of other, currently manual processes, facilitating the efficient collection of vital data spanning:

  • Sourcing and welfare declarations
  • Technical and ethical accreditations
  • Risk assessment and SAQ distribution
