FIR Compliance: Allergens, additives and origins

The EU Food Information Regulations (FIR) which came into effect in December 2014 changed the technical requirements for the hospitality and catering sector. 

It became a legal requirement to provide consumers with data relating to 14 common allergens, additives, recommended daily allowances and country of origin of some products, leading to the need for a sophisticated real-time data solution.
