FIR Compliance: Allergens, additives and origins

The EU Food Information Regulations (FIR) in December 2014 changed the technical requirements for the hospitality and catering sector forever. A legal requirement to provide consumers with allergen data, additives, recommended daily allowances and country of origin of some products led to the need for sophisticated real-time data solutions.

Your product list, your suppliers, your data.

The Authenticate Platform is tailor-made for providing such requirements and has been helping caterers, wholesalers and brand owners since these regulations came into force. Passing the duty-of-care to the ultimate owner of the product, the platform ensures accurate product data is delivered to the consumer, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable information is available in a cost-effective way.

The Authenticate Platform is the collaborative way to meet all the requirements of the Food Information Regulations. A product list can be uploaded to the Authenticate Platform and instantly linked to the deep pool of brand owner data already on the platform. The concept of a ‘Caterpool’ allows hospitality clients to collect vital data instantly and without the need for laborious repetitive, inaccurate duplication of time and effort.

No further need for excel spreadsheets, repetitive requests to suppliers to update data, the platform updates in real-time and can be instantly exported to operational catering facilities ready for the next day’s trade.

Don’t just take our word for it...
