Leading health and wellbeing brand, Holland & Barrett, has recently signed a contract with Authenticate as the ESG due diligence platform of choice following an in-depth selection process.
Founded in 1870 with 1,600 stores spanning 18 countries, the Holland & Barrett team were keen to find a software solution to assist with supply chain data collection for its non-financial objectives.
Holland & Barrett will be using the Authenticate platform to increase supply chain transparency, understand country risk, ensure responsible sourcing and conduct ESG due diligence in the UK, Benelux and beyond.
Focusing on the own brand range initially, Authenticate’s suite of modules, including supply chain mapping and audits, will be used to engage direct and indirect suppliers, back to source, and demonstrate performance improvements across topics concerned with, but not limited to emissions, plastic reduction, food fraud and modern slavery.
Speaking of the new partnership, Richard Mason, Head of ESG at Holland & Barrett said:
“We’re excited to start using the Authenticate platform to strengthen our supply chain data collection processes and accelerate progress against our ESG goals. We pride ourselves on being a responsible retailer, and we know that having full sight of our supply chains is the only way to truly achieve this.”
In response, Alex Walters, Chief Commercial Officer at Authenticate explained:
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Holland & Barrett on board as our first health and wellbeing customer. We look forward to assisting them with ESG due diligence requirements, especially at a time of increasing legislation and growing consumer expectation when it comes to matters impacting the planet and people.”
