After announcing our corporate charity partnership with FareShare Yorkshire 6 months ago, the Authenticate team has been busy donating both time and money ever since to support the leading food redistribution charity.
Volunteering for FareShare Yorkshire
As part of our corporate charity partnership, we committed to volunteering Authenticate team member time across the various FareShare Yorkshire sites in 2024.
With 86% of Authenticate staff participating in one of two volunteering days on the 17th and 23rd October, we helped to pack and sort surplus supermarket food, equating to the equivalent of 20,000 meals for the 400 charities and organisations served by FareShare Yorkshire.
It was a pleasure to lend a hand (or several) for such a worthy cause!
Fundraising for FareShare Yorkshire
To enable FareShare Yorkshire to continually redistribute food to charities in need across the region, the Authenticate team decided to arrange a Christmas raffle to help raise vital funds.
With over 30 prizes donated by staff, clients and supporters, including theatre vouchers, afternoon tea for two, hampers and much more, we were able to sell over 150 tickets. This equated to over £500 when combined with a business donation.
We look forward to planning future fundraising activities in 2025, with the Yorkshire Three Peaks already being floated as a suggestion!
