To support expansion plans in the New Year, a few changes are set to be made to the senior structure at Authenticate, effective from the 1st January 2023.
Serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since the company’s formation in 2013, Paul Marples will become Executive Chair, shifting from operational and management responsibilities, to assuming accountability for corporate strategy and execution. Present Non-Executive Chair, Linda Campbell’s role will change to lead independent Non-Executive Director as a result.
Current Chief Commercial Officer, Alex Walters, will replace Marples as CEO after working as a company director over the last 4 years. Leveraging his deep understanding of SaaS businesses and over 20 years’ experience within key target industries, the board agreed that Alex is best placed to lead Authenticate through the next chapter.
Sharing his views on the changes, Paul Marples said:
“Authenticate has realised significant growth over the last 10 years as a result of funding rounds, continuous platform development and new customer acquisitions. Now is the time to alter the structure to align with future plans – and I’m excited to see what we achieve next!”
In response, Alex Walters commented:
“I’m looking forward to taking the baton from Paul and leading the Authenticate team and technology in this new phase. With plenty of opportunities and challenges on the horizon, I have no doubt that by working together, we will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Authenticate has also appointed a new Finance Director, Caroline O’Shaughnessy, who will be joining the company at the start of January.
